More About Me

Experienced. Certified. Supportive.

As a fully qualified Counsellor/Psychotherapist, my role is to listen, support, empathise and encourage you through those times that you may struggle to see the way ahead. I offer Person-Centred Counselling, with a particular interest in areas of cancer support, bereavement, anxiety, depression, PTSD, trauma, low self esteem, and those with chronic health conditions. I have over ten years experience in cancer support and I have worked with people of all ages, situations and walks of life. Originally from Perth Western Australia, I now live and work in Scotland, where I combine my passions through supporting my clients at my private practice ‘Soul Safe Therapy’, alongside my work at ‘Westerhaven’ Cancer Support and I also facilitate support groups for 'Breast Cancer Now' in Edinburgh. I offer long and short-term therapy, and I also work with past and present issues, depending on your needs. I truly believe that talking within a safe therapeutic relationship can be a life changing, healing process. I am a kind and compassionate therapist and together through respect and trust, we are able to explore your life situation and patterns of behaviour and establish your desired goals towards a brighter future. I understand that committing to therapy takes courage. By seeking counselling, you have already taken the first step towards change. My practice is inclusive and welcoming to people of all nationalities, abilities, religious affiliations, spiritual practices, political opinions, sexual orientation, gender identity, and ages. If you feel inclined to do so, I invite you to arrange a free introductory phone consultation with me to see if together we would be a good fit, as I feel it is so important to find a therapist you can trust and feel comfortable with. I am a registered Counsellor/member with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a member of COSCA (Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland). I conduct my counselling practice within both the COSCA and the BACP ‘Ethical Framework for Counsellors’, and also the BACP Guidelines for Online Counselling and Psychotherapy.

What To Expect

I offer a free initial 20 minute phone consultation to answer any questions you may have, and to see if we are a good fit for each other. I offer Zoom or phone appointments depending on your personal preference.
